Loveland countertops in natural stone and quartz, measured at your home
Northern Colorado
Service area: Northern Colorado
Counter Top Sales brings granite, soapstone, marble, quartzite and quartz countertops to Loveland homeowners, covering kitchens, bathroom vanities and wet bars. We're based in Denver, roughly 50 miles south, and we come up I-25 for consultations, free in-home measurements and installation. We don't have a Loveland office, and we won't pretend otherwise.
Loveland sits where the plains meet the foothills, with the Big Thompson River coming out of the canyon to the west. A lot of homes here lean toward a warmer, more natural look. That makes it good country for granite and soapstone, though quartz and marble still have their place.

Countertops we install around Loveland
Kitchens are most of the work: islands, perimeter runs and breakfast bars, cut and installed as one project. We also do bathroom vanity tops, from a single sink to a double vanity, and wet bars for basements and entertaining spaces. Projects that touch several rooms can be quoted together.
Natural stone for a natural-looking kitchen
If you like a kitchen that looks lived in, natural stone gives you variation that no two slabs repeat.
Granite
Granite is the workhorse. It's heat-resistant, very durable and comes in everything from tight speckles to bold movement. Most granites benefit from a periodic sealer, and a quick water-drop test tells you when it's time.
Soapstone
Soapstone is softer than granite and will scratch, but it's dense and doesn't etch from lemon or vinegar the way marble does. It darkens over time, especially with mineral oil, and light scratches can be sanded out. People who choose it usually love that it ages.
Quartzite
Quartzite gives you light, marble-like veining with far more hardness. It's a good fit for an island where you want a statement and real durability. We'll recommend testing a sample, since stone names in the trade aren't always precise.
Planning around Loveland's climate
At about 5,000 feet, Loveland gets dry air, strong sun and cold winter nights. Inside, the stone itself shrugs all of that off. The two places to think harder are sunny windows and anything outdoors.
Quartz uses a resin binder, and most manufacturers advise against long direct sun and outdoor use because the color can fade or shift. For a covered patio or outdoor bar, granite is the safer pick. Seal it well, since water that soaks in can freeze and expand through repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and give it cover from hail where you can.

Countertop questions from Loveland
Do you install countertops in Loveland?
Yes. We're based in Denver and serve Loveland, with free estimates and free in-home measurement. We cover kitchens, bathrooms and wet bars.
Is soapstone practical for a Loveland kitchen?
For the right person, yes. It scratches more easily than granite, but it doesn't etch from acids, and scratches can be sanded and oiled out. If you want a counter that looks better with age, it's worth seeing in person.
Will granite hold up on an outdoor bar through Loveland winters?
A dense, well-sealed granite is the best of our materials for outdoor use. Freeze-thaw and hail are the risks, so reseal on schedule and cover it where possible. We don't recommend quartz outdoors.
Do you serve Berthoud and Johnstown?
Yes. Both are in our service area, with the same free estimate, in-home measurement and 24-hour quote.
What makes one countertop quote higher than another?
The material and slab, total square footage, the number of seams and sink or cooktop cutouts, the edge profile and removal of old tops. Budget bands on our estimate form run from $1,000 to $3,500 at the low end up to $20,000 or more. A free estimate gives you a firm number.
